The Laws of the Kingdom of Arnhelm

Arson
The wilful destruction, by any means, of another's property, without consent. (Also the destruction of one's own property if done for profit)
First Offence: Loss of all property.
Second Offence: Death and loss of all property.
Assassination
The premeditated murder of another for a fee, as well as the hiring of such assassins.
First Offence: Two Deaths and loss of all property.
Second Offence: Obliteration, loss of all property and Outlaw for One Year.
Assault
The wilful attack on another citizen by any means including weapon, spell, alchemy, potion or trap; or the use of any of these upon another person without their consent. If the assault causes death the charge will become murder.
First Offence: Public Beating or Community Service, and monetary fine.
Second Offence: Extended Community Service and severe monetary fine.
Bribery
The offering, giving, receiving, or solicitation of something of value for the purpose of influencing the action of a person in the responsible discharge of his or her public or legal duties.
First Offence: Public Beating or Community Service, and monetary fine.
Second Offence: Extended Community Service and severe monetary fine.
Burglary
The unlawful and uninvited intrusion into another's home or business, and consequent stealing of property while in said home or business.
First Offence: Return of stolen property and Community Service.
Second Offence: Return of stolen property, loss of all property and Community Service.
Conspiracy
A confederation between two or more willing persons for the purpose of planning and committing by their joint efforts some criminal act, or some act which is innocent in itself but becomes criminal when done by the concerted action of the conspirators. If the conspiracy is against a noble, the charge may be treason.
First Offence: Commensurate with intended crime.
Second Offence: Commensurate with the intended crime.
Counterfeiting/Forgery
The use of false monies; the sale or trade of items falsely represented to be other than what they are; the use of a falsely made or altered signature, writ, seal or badge of authority for fraudulent purposes. If a Noble's signature or writ is counterfeited, this may become treason.
First Offence: Monetary fine and branding of the back of the right hand.
Second Offence: Death and loss of all property.
Impersonating a Noble
Pretending to have noble title you have no lawful claim to, or falsely claiming to be empowered by a noble to act in their name. If you commit a crime while doing this, the charge may be elevated to treason.
First Offence: Death and loss of all property.
Second Offence: Obliteration, loss of all property and declared Outlaw.
Kidnapping
The unlawful taking and confinement of a citizen against his or her will, and attempts to ransom these captives to friends or family.
First Offence: Monetary fine and Death.
Second Offence: Obliteration and loss of all property.
Libel
Issuing a knowingly false statement in text, pictures or signs with the intent to injure the character or image of another person or organisation.
First Offence: Community Service and monetary fine.
Second Offence: Community Service and severe monetary fine.
Mockery of a Noble
Defamation of a noble's character through insults, lies or mockery. If this is used to incite rebellion, the charge becomes treason.
First Offence: Monetary fine.
Second Offence: Loss of all property and possible Death.
Murder
Deliberate action to cause the death of any individual (other than an outlaw). Even if the victim receives a Life spell, the murder is still held to have occurred.
First Offence: Death, Severe Monetary Fine. 
Second Offence: Obliteration, Loss of all property and Outlaw for One Year.
Necromancy
Casting of spells with the word "chaos" in the verbal; creation or control of undead through Cantrips and Formal Magic Spells; transforming a living being into undead; and the knowing and consenting possession or use of any item that is necromantic in nature. Also, the use of any spell, ability or item that causes any of these offences. Prosecution of this crime is the province of the Order of the Spirit Slayers.
First Offence: Death, Loss of all property and possible Obliteration.
Second Offence: Obliteration, Loss of all Property and declared Outlaw.
Perjury
To knowingly lie or make misleading statements to a noble, magistrate or persons given the power to conduct an official investigation or trial, while they are in the course of such an investigation or trial.
First Offence: Community Service and small monetary fine.
Second Offence: Community Service and monetary fine; or the same punishment as the crime demands, whichever is more severe.
Slander
The speaking of false or malicious words concerning another whereby injury results to their reputation.
First Offence: Public Beating or Community Service and monetary fine.
Second Offence: Extended Community Service and severe monetary fine.
Slavery
The buying, selling or ownership of sentient beings. The use of Enslavement elixirs is also a form of slavery.
First Offence: Death and Loss of all property.
Second Offence: Obliteration, Loss of all property and Outlaw for One Year.
Tax Evasion
The failure to pay any taxes levied by the Kingdom, Principality, County, or any Baronies of which you are a citizen.
First Offence: Double Payment of Taxes.
Second Offence: Triple Payment of Taxes and possible loss of property.
Theft
To use any portion of or take possession of the property of another citizen without permission, including looting another's body.
First Offence: Return of stolen property and Community Service.
Second Offence: Return of stolen property, loss of all property and Community Service.
Treason
Rendering aid to a sworn enemy of Arnhelm or inciting rebellion against the noble and royal courts of Arnhelm, including the involvement in any action or assemblage for the purpose of rebelling against the state or its lawful governing body, or aiding any other individuals to do the same. Treason is the most serious crime in Arnhelm and should be invoked with due and proper consideration and solemnity.
First Offence: Obliteration.
Second Offence: At least one Obliteration, Declared Outlaw, possible Exile.
Unsanctioned Magic
Casting of any magic spell without having a Mage Brand. Prosecution of this crime is the province of the Order of the Spirit Slayers.
First Offence: Mage Brand
Second Offence: Obliteration
